Part-Time Office Manager

About the Role:

If you are a highly organized and people-oriented individual with excellent communication and customer service skills, this role is for you! In this role, you’ll be reporting to the US Operations Manager, and will help keep Babbel’s US office operations running smoothly. You will be the first point of contact for internal and external guests entering our midtown Manhattan office. The Part-time Office Manager will be responsible for maintaining a well-stocked, efficient and functional office space, in addition to helping plan company events and assisting with employee onboarding, both remote and in-office.

You will:

  • Manage office visitors and building maintenance requests
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Onboard new employees (shared responsibility with People Ops team) 
  • Handle restacks
  • Act as IT liaison and troubleshoot basic IT issues directly
  • Maintain the office environment and policies
  • Ensure employee delight in their working space
  • Set up team events, such as lunches, happy hours, annual party, etc.
  • Assist with travel arrangements
  • Ability to multi-task and project manage in an fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Provide ad-hoc support for remote staff 

You have:

  • 2+ years of experience in office management 
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong command of digital tools such as Slack, Jira, G-suite, Confluence, etc.

This is a part-time position at 20 hours/week with some flexibility in the hours and in-office location exclusively.

Salary Information:

  • In New York City, the reasonable annualized part-time salary for this role is $25,000 - $40,000; placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level
